Rings.
Cocktail rings and high jewelry — important stones in settings built around them, not around a catalogue. Most of what we make is a single piece, so nothing here carries a price on the screen. Tell us which ring you are looking at and we will answer you personally.
The hub
Ten rings. Ask about any of them.
These are the ten kinds of ring we make and keep. Each one is built around a particular stone, so what is in the case changes constantly and no two quotes are the same. Pick the one closest to what you have in mind and ask — you will hear back from the shop, with what we currently have and what it would take to make it.
Cocktail rings
The ring that is meant to be seen across a room. One important stone, scaled up, on a hand that is not asking permission.
What is in the case turns over constantly. Ask what is here this month.
Statement solitaires
A single large stone and almost nothing else — the setting cut down to whatever it takes to hold it and no more.
Above a certain size the stone chooses the setting. We start from the stone.
Bombé & dome rings
Sculptural gold that carries its own weight — a domed form, pavéd or polished, worn as a piece of metalwork rather than a mount.
These are about the goldsmithing. Worth seeing in the hand, not on a screen.
Two-stone rings
Two important stones side by side, matched or deliberately contrasted — the toi et moi, done with stones worth looking at twice.
Matching a pair at size takes time. Tell us early if you want them alike.
Cluster & flower rings
A centre stone ringed by others, so the whole head reads as one large flowering shape on the finger.
A cluster gives you presence for less carat weight in the centre.
Three-stone rings
One important centre stone set between two smaller ones, so the eye goes straight to the middle and the hand reads as balanced.
We match the side stones to the centre, never the other way round.
Rare & unusual stones
Cabochons, colour-change stones, unusual cuts and gems most jewellers never stock — the reason people come down to Wabash in the first place.
Tell us the stone you are hunting for. We will say honestly if we can find it.
All-over diamond rings
Pavé and channel work covering the whole band, so the ring reads as light from every angle rather than one bright point.
Stone quality matters more here than anywhere. Look at a few side by side.
Heirloom resets
A stone that has been sitting in a drawer for thirty years, out of its tired mounting and into something worth wearing again.
Nothing is cut or removed until you have seen and approved the plan.
One-of-a-kind commissions
A ring that exists once, drawn around a stone you have chosen and made at the bench here. Bring a stone, an idea or a photograph of something that has nothing to do with jewelry — that is often the better starting point.
Nothing is quoted until the design is settled, and nothing is made until the quote is.
Before you enquire
Two things worth knowing first.
Size and stone shape are the two questions that come up at the counter every day. Here they are, so your enquiry can start further along.
Ring size, roughly
Measure a ring that already fits the finger you have in mind. Across the inside, edge to edge, in millimetres — or wrap a strip of paper around the finger and measure that.
A starting point, not a fitting. Knuckles, band width and the weather all move the answer, a heavy cocktail ring sits differently from a thin band, and a printed paper sizer is only as accurate as the printer. We size on the spot at the counter, free, and it takes a minute.
Stone shapes
The outline of the stone, which is not the same thing as the cut. Tap one.
Round. The one most people picture. Cut for brightness above everything else, and the easiest shape to set, match and replace.
After you own it
An important piece needs looking after.
The bench that makes the rings is the bench that services them. Bring in anything, whoever sold it to you.
Prong check
Worn prongs are how large stones are lost. We look at them under the loupe while you wait.
Repairs & serviceSizing
Up or down, and we will tell you honestly when a ring cannot be sized rather than risk it.
Repairs & serviceCleaning
A proper clean brings a ring back further than most people expect. Ask when you are next downtown.

Suite B1, one floor down from Wabash.
No screen tells you what a large stone does in daylight, or how it sits on your own hand. Walk in, or tell us what you are after and we will have those pieces out of the safe and waiting.
